Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226g/8oz) Unsalted Butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g/7oz) Granulated Sugar
- 2 cups (240g/8.5oz) All-Purpose Flour, plus extra for dusting
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Form the dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes.
- Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheets, leaving about an inch between each cookie. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
