Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup (40 g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- Mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until creamy and well combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Dollop half of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter.
- Repeat with the remaining brownie batter and cream cheese mixture.
- Using a knife or toothpick, gently swirl the two mixtures together for a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
