Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour both cake pans; line the bottom with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
- Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and milk, alternating between them, until just combined. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Pour the batter evenly into prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whip the softened butter, then gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Add heavy cream, vanilla, and salt; beat until fluffy.
- Place the first layer on a cake stand, spread a layer of frosting, then top with the second layer. Frost the top and sides.
- Decorate as desired and slice to serve.
