Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240g) creamy peanut butter (smooth)
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon (2g) baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon (1g) salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Combine the peanut butter and sugar in a mixing bowl; mix until smooth.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt; whisk until fully combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Press each cookie with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
