Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240g) creamy peanut butter (smooth)
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon (2g) baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon (1g) salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Combine the peanut butter and sugar in a mixing bowl; mix until smooth.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt; whisk until fully combined.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
  6. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  7. Press each cookie with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
