Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240g) plain yogurt (Greek or regular)
- 1 ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking powder
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- 2 tbsp (30ml) honey (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
- Optional: garlic powder, sesame seeds, or everything bagel seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix yogurt and honey (if using).
- Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Divide dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a rope. Twist into a pretzel shape.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place pretzels on it.
- Brush each pretzel with beaten egg and sprinkle with sea salt and optional toppings.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
