Ingredients:

  • 1 package (15.35 oz or 435 g) Oreo cookies (regular)
  • 8 oz (227 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 3-4 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
  • 12 oz (340 g) dark chocolate, chopped (or dark chocolate chips)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoothness)
  • Extra crushed Oreo cookies for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely ground.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, and bourbon whiskey until well blended.
  3. Use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  4. Place each formed truffle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave or a double boiler until smooth, mixing in coconut oil if desired for extra smoothness.
  7. Using a fork, dip each truffle in melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  8. Place dipped truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  9. Immediately sprinkle with crushed Oreo cookies if desired.
  10. Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 15-20 minutes.
