- 8 oz (227 g) cream cheese, softened
- 3-4 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
- 12 oz (340 g) dark chocolate, chopped (or dark chocolate chips)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoothness)
- Extra crushed Oreo cookies for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely ground.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, softened cream cheese, and bourbon whiskey until well blended.
- Use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Place each formed truffle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt dark chocolate in a microwave or a double boiler until smooth, mixing in coconut oil if desired for extra smoothness.
- Using a fork, dip each truffle in melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place dipped truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet.
- Immediately sprinkle with crushed Oreo cookies if desired.
- Refrigerate until chocolate is set, about 15-20 minutes.
