Ingredients:

  • 1 package (15.25 oz / 430 g) cherry chip cake mix
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup (150 g) chocolate chips
  • 2 cups (240 ml) whipped cream or frosting
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour the baking pan, or line with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cherry chip cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Use an electric mixer to beat on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a rubber spatula.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack. Let it cool completely.
  7. Optional: Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream or frosting and garnish with fresh cherries and chocolate shavings.
