Ingredients:
- 1 package (15.25 oz / 430 g) cherry chip cake mix
- 1 cup (240 ml) water
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup (150 g) chocolate chips
- 2 cups (240 ml) whipped cream or frosting
- Fresh cherries for garnish
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour the baking pan, or line with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cherry chip cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Use an electric mixer to beat on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a rubber spatula.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack. Let it cool completely.
- Optional: Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream or frosting and garnish with fresh cherries and chocolate shavings.
