Ingredients:
- 750g frozen shredded hashbrowns
- 240ml sour cream (can substitute with Greek yogurt)
- 240g shredded cheddar cheese
- 60g diced onion (optional)
- 60g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 60g grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded hashbrowns, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, diced onion (if using), melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the hashbrown mixture evenly in the baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and Parmesan (if using).
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
