Ingredients:
- 1 (15 oz) can refried beans (425g)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)
- 1 cup sour cream (240g)
- 1 (4 oz) can diced green chilies (113g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin (5g)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (5g)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Tortilla chips
- Fresh vegetable sticks (carrots, bell peppers, etc.)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the refried beans, sour cream, garlic powder, ground cumin, chili powder, and chopped green chilies in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until well mixed and heated through, about 5 minutes.
- Add half of the shredded cheese to the bean mixture and mix until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired.
- Serve hot with tortilla chips and veggie sticks.
