Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150g) packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups (300g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the rolled oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Chill the dough for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
