Ingredients:
- 1 box (15.25 oz / 432g) chocolate cake mix (Devil's Food or similar)
- ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk, any kind
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate chips, sprinkles, chopped nuts, sea salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet(s) with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the chocolate cake mix to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in any desired mix-ins, such as chocolate chips or nuts.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons (or use a cookie scoop) onto the prepared baking sheet(s), leaving some space between cookies.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft. Don’t overbake – they will continue to set as they cool.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
