Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (227 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) finely chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, peanuts)
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) crushed candy canes (for festive flair)
  • 12 large pretzel rods

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.
  3. Hold each pretzel rod by one end, dip into the melted chocolate, and twist to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. Immediately sprinkle desired toppings onto the chocolate-coated part; do this before the chocolate hardens.
  5. Place coated pretzel rods on the lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until set.
