Ingredients:
- 8 oz (227 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp (5 ml) coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
- 1/2 cup (75 g) finely chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, peanuts)
- 1/2 cup (75 g) sprinkles
- 1/2 cup (75 g) crushed candy canes (for festive flair)
- 12 large pretzel rods
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and melted.
- Hold each pretzel rod by one end, dip into the melted chocolate, and twist to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Immediately sprinkle desired toppings onto the chocolate-coated part; do this before the chocolate hardens.
- Place coated pretzel rods on the lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until set.
