Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (6g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (120g) chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just incorporated.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
- Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for enhanced flavour and texture.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
