Ingredients:
- 2 ½ oz (75 ml) gin (London dry gin recommended)
- ½ oz (15 ml) dry vermouth
- Ice cubes (for chilling)
- 1 green olive or a twist of lemon peel (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Chill the martini glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.
- Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Using a jigger, pour 2 ½ oz of gin and ½ oz of dry vermouth into the mixing glass.
- Gently stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
- Remove the ice from the martini glass and strain the chilled mixture into the glass.
- Add the green olive or twist the lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it in.
