Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup (30g) cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (480ml) whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ounces (60g) semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- Whipped cream (for garnish, optional)
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for dusting, optional)
Instructions:
- Whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan until well blended.
- Gradually whisk in the whole milk until smooth and lump-free.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles (approximately 5-10 minutes).
- Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in chopped chocolate and vanilla extract until melted and smooth.
- Pour the pudding into serving dishes or ramekins, cover with plastic wrap (pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent a skin), and chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
