Ingredients:

  • 1.5 large bananas, frozen and overripe
  • 1 cup cold whole milk
  • 0.5 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pour the cold milk into the base of the blender carafe first to create a vortex for the frozen ingredients.
  2. Break the frozen bananas into 2-inch chunks and add them to the blender along with the vanilla extract and sea salt.
  3. Start the blender on the lowest speed to break up the frozen fruit, then quickly increase to the highest setting. Blend for 45–60 seconds until aerated and velvety.
  4. Stop the blender and check the consistency with a spoon; it should hold a slight peak. If too thick, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time and pulse.
