Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) sour cream
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (11 ounce/312g) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 (20 ounce/567g) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup (150g) mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded coconut
  • 1 cup (150g) chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 cup (150g) maraschino cherries, halved (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  2. Drain the mandarin oranges and pineapple chunks very well. Pat dry with paper towels if desired.
  3. Add the drained mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, mini marshmallows, shredded coconut, walnuts/pecans (if using), and maraschino cherries (if using) to the bowl with the dressing.
  4. Gently fold all the ingredients together until everything is evenly coated. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to meld.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy this classic Creamy Delicatessen Fruit Salad!
