Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely minced
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 large English cucumber, thinly sliced
- 16 slices soft white bread
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
- Slice the cucumber into thin rounds. Lay them on a paper towel, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and let sit for 5 minutes. Pat them firmly dry with another paper towel.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir with a spatula until the mixture is velvety and the herbs are evenly distributed.
- Lightly butter one side of each bread slice. Spread a generous layer of the garlic cream cheese on the buttered side. Layer the dried cucumber slices in an overlapping pattern to create a stable base. Top with a second slice of bread.
- Trim the crusts off all four sides of the sandwich. Slice each sandwich diagonally twice to create four small triangles.
