Instructions:
- Stack tortillas and slice them into 6 or 8 uniform wedges using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Place the wedges in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle lightly with oil and toss gently until every chip is just coated—do not drench them.
- Sprinkle salt and any optional seasonings (chili powder, cumin) over the oiled chips. Toss again until seasoning is evenly distributed.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes, if desired.
- Working in single layers, place the seasoned chips into the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; work in batches to ensure crispness.
- Air fry for 4 minutes.
- Carefully pull out the basket, give it a good shake to flip the chips, and return to the air fryer. Cook for another 4–6 minutes until lightly golden brown and firm.
- Immediately transfer the cooked chips to a wire rack or plate to cool completely. They will crisp up further as they cool down.
