Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sesame seeds, toasted
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sesame seeds, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add softened butter and mix using a fork or your fingers until crumbly.
  4. Stir in the egg and cold water, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into sticks using a knife or pizza cutter.
  7. Place cut sticks on a lined baking sheet, spacing evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
