Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate for a richer flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a silky finish)
  • 12-15 large fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried thoroughly

Instructions:

  1. Rinse strawberries under cold water and pat dry with paper towels, ensuring no moisture remains.
  2. Using a double boiler: Fill the bottom pot with water, bring to a simmer, then place the chocolate in the top bowl until melted.
  3. Using a microwave: Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  4. Stir in coconut oil with melted chocolate for a smoother finish, if desired.
  5. Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Place dipped strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow chocolate to firm up.
