Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz/425 g) refried beans
  • 1 cup (240 g) sour cream
  • 1 cup (120 g) guacamole (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup (100 g) salsa (thick and chunky works best)
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • ½ cup (75 g) sliced black olives
  • ½ cup (75 g) chopped green onions (scallions)
  • 1 cup (150 g) diced tomatoes (fresh or canned, drained)

Instructions:

  1. Drain and rinse canned beans. Dice tomatoes and chop green onions.
  2. Spread refried beans evenly at the bottom of the dish.
  3. Add a layer of sour cream over the beans, smoothing it out.
  4. Next, layer the guacamole on top of the sour cream.
  5. Pour salsa over guacamole and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the salsa layer.
  7. Garnish with sliced black olives and diced tomatoes.
  8. Finish with chopped green onions on top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  10. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
