Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) imitation crab meat, shredded
  • ½ cup (60g) breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • ¼ cup (60ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the imitation crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, green onions, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Place formed cakes on a plate and cover. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add oil.
  5. Cook the cakes for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Ensure cakes are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  7. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
