Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) imitation crab meat, shredded
- ½ cup (60g) breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- ¼ cup (60ml) mayonnaise
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons (30g) Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon (5g) Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon (15g) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15g) green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the imitation crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, green onions, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about ½ inch thick.
- Place formed cakes on a plate and cover. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add oil.
- Cook the cakes for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Ensure cakes are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
