Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ¾ cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (3g) salt
- 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, blending until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- If desired, line the bottom of the Dutch oven with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Scoop the cookie dough into the Dutch oven and spread it into an even layer.
- Cover the Dutch oven with its lid and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the center is slightly gooey.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
