Ingredients:
- 6 cups Ripe Watermelon, cubed (seedless preferred)
- 1 cup Cold Water, adjust consistency to preference
- 3 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice (approx. 2 medium limes)
- 1-4 tablespoons Granulated Sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Mint Leaves (optional)
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions:
- Cube the watermelon, discarding any large seeds if necessary. Measure out 6 cups of fruit.
- Place the cubed watermelon into the blender. Add the 1 cup of cold water, fresh lime juice, and the pinch of salt.
- If using, add the 1/4 cup of mint leaves to the blender now.
- Blend the mixture on high speed until it is completely smooth and liquefied (about 45–60 seconds).
- Taste the mixture. If the watermelon was not perfectly sweet, gradually blend in the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired sweetness level is achieved.
- Place the fine-mesh sieve over your large pitcher. Slowly pour the blended mixture through the sieve, gently encouraging the pulp through with the back of a spoon.
- Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill thoroughly.
- Serve over plenty of ice in tall glasses. Garnish with a thin lime wheel or a sprig of fresh mint.
