Ingredients:

  • 6 cups Ripe Watermelon, cubed (seedless preferred)
  • 1 cup Cold Water, adjust consistency to preference
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice (approx. 2 medium limes)
  • 1-4 tablespoons Granulated Sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint Leaves (optional)
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions:

  1. Cube the watermelon, discarding any large seeds if necessary. Measure out 6 cups of fruit.
  2. Place the cubed watermelon into the blender. Add the 1 cup of cold water, fresh lime juice, and the pinch of salt.
  3. If using, add the 1/4 cup of mint leaves to the blender now.
  4. Blend the mixture on high speed until it is completely smooth and liquefied (about 45–60 seconds).
  5. Taste the mixture. If the watermelon was not perfectly sweet, gradually blend in the sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired sweetness level is achieved.
  6. Place the fine-mesh sieve over your large pitcher. Slowly pour the blended mixture through the sieve, gently encouraging the pulp through with the back of a spoon.
  7. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill thoroughly.
  8. Serve over plenty of ice in tall glasses. Garnish with a thin lime wheel or a sprig of fresh mint.
