Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in flour and mix vigorously until a dough forms.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated. Finish with vanilla extract.
  6. Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe rounds onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffs are golden and hollow. Remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
  8. In a bowl, whisk heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  9. Fill a piping bag with the vanilla cream and carefully pipe into the cooled puffs through a small hole.
