Ingredients:
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (120ml) water
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1/4 cup (30g) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Stir in flour and mix vigorously until a dough forms.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated. Finish with vanilla extract.
- Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe rounds onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffs are golden and hollow. Remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a bowl, whisk heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Fill a piping bag with the vanilla cream and carefully pipe into the cooled puffs through a small hole.
