Ingredients:

  • 240 ml (1 cup) strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) simple syrup
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) ice cubes
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) water (for simple syrup)
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
  • Optional: Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Make the Simple Syrup (if needed): Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool before using.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In the blender, add the cooled coffee, milk, simple syrup (to taste), and ice cubes.
  3. Blend: Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. You might need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness (add more simple syrup) or coffee flavour (add a splash more coffee) as needed.
  5. Serve: Pour into a glass. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or cocoa powder, if desired. Enjoy immediately!
