Ingredients:
- 4 ripe golden kiwis
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for a sweeter taste)
- Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C). This low temperature is crucial for slowly dehydrating the kiwis without cooking them.
- Carefully peel the golden kiwis using a vegetable peeler. Cut each kiwi into thin slices, about 1/8 inch thick.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the kiwi slices with the lemon juice and honey (if using). Toss gently to coat the slices evenly.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Space the kiwi slices out in a single layer, avoiding overlapping.
- If desired, lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the kiwi slices.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for about 2 hours, flipping halfway through for even drying.
- Once finished, remove the kiwi chips from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet.
