Ingredients:
- 3 large ripe bananas (approximately 400g)
- 1/3 cup (75g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (75g) chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter until well combined.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix thoroughly.
- Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture; mix until just combined.
- Gradually add flour, folding gently until no dry streaks remain.
- If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan or lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
