Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box Nilla Wafers
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  2. In your chosen dish, create a layer of Nilla Wafers at the bottom. Evenly spread half of the pudding over the wafers. Arrange half of the banana slices atop the pudding.
  3. Add another layer of Nilla Wafers, followed by the remaining pudding. Top with the rest of the banana slices.
  4. Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften.
  5. Optionally top with whipped cream and serve chilled.
