Ingredients:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels (small pretzel twists or sticks)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping (or cool whip)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
- In a small saucepan, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Allow to cool slightly, then gently fold in sliced strawberries.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it’s evenly distributed. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
