Ingredients:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels (small pretzel twists or sticks)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping (or cool whip)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until combined.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. In a small saucepan, dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Allow to cool slightly, then gently fold in sliced strawberries.
  5. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it’s evenly distributed. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.
  6. Slice into squares and enjoy!
