Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
- 1 cup (100g) Stove Top stuffing mix (chicken or turkey flavor)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60g) ketchup (plus extra for glaze)
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup or 75g)
- 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5g) dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup (60g) ketchup for glaze
- 2 tablespoons (30g) brown sugar for glaze
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce for glaze
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, sauté the finely chopped onion over medium heat until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Stove Top stuffing, milk, ketchup, egg, sautéed onions, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread half of this mixture on top of the meatloaf.
- Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove from the oven and allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Drizzle with remaining glaze and serve warm.
