Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1 cup (100g) Stove Top stuffing mix (chicken or turkey flavor)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60g) ketchup (plus extra for glaze)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup or 75g)
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup (60g) ketchup for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) brown sugar for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce for glaze

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the finely chopped onion over medium heat until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Stove Top stuffing, milk, ketchup, egg, sautéed onions, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread half of this mixture on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Drizzle with remaining glaze and serve warm.
