- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for a kick)
- 2 cups whole milk or milk alternative
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, powdered sugar (if using), salt, and cinnamon until thoroughly mixed.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Stir in vanilla extract if desired and add cayenne pepper for a spicy twist if using.
- Transfer the hot cocoa mix into an airtight container and seal tightly, store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
- To make hot cocoa, combine ¼ cup of the cocoa mix with 2 cups of hot milk or milk alternative in a saucepan and heat gently.
