Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated white sugar
  • 4 cups (1 litre) water

Instructions:

  1. In the saucepan, combine the sugar and water.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not let it boil vigorously.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  4. Once cool, use a funnel (if desired) to fill your thoroughly cleaned hummingbird feeder.
  5. Store any leftover nectar in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
