Ingredients:
- 3 boxes (3 oz each) different flavors of Jell-O (e.g., strawberry, lime, blue raspberry)
- 3 cups (710ml) boiling water, divided
- 3 cups (710ml) cold water, divided
- 1 package (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups (355ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (236ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 envelopes (0.25 oz each) unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup (118ml) cold water
Instructions:
- Dissolve each flavor of Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Then, stir in 1 cup of cold water.
- Pour each flavor of Jell-O into separate containers. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set and firm.
- Once set, cut each color of Jell-O into 1/2 to 1 inch cubes.
- Soften unflavored gelatin in 1/2 cup cold water. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Gently heat the sweetened condensed milk, cream, and milk in a saucepan over low heat until just warmed. Do not boil. Remove from heat and add the softened gelatin. Stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gently toss the Jell-O cubes together in the 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the creamy base mixture evenly over the Jell-O cubes. Gently press the Jell-O cubes down to ensure they are submerged in the creamy mixture.
- Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or until the creamy layer is completely set.
- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
