Ingredients:
- 1 small head of green cabbage, finely shredded (about 5 cups)
- 1/2 cup grated carrots
- 2 tablespoons finely diced onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions:
- Shred the cabbage finely. Grate the carrots. Finely dice the onion.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and diced onion. Mix well.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, white vinegar, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture. Toss to coat evenly.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably longer (up to overnight), to allow the flavors to meld.
