Ingredients:
- 4 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 1/4 cup red cabbage, finely shredded (optional)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed (optional)
Instructions:
- Finely shred the green cabbage and red cabbage (if using). Grate the carrots using a grater or food processor.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper, and celery seed. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Add the shredded cabbage and grated carrots to the bowl with the dressing. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavours meld and the coleslaw to set.
- Give the coleslaw a final stir and serve chilled alongside your favourite dishes.
