Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (150g) graham cracker crumbs
- 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (14 ounce / 397g) can sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup (120ml) key lime juice, fresh or bottled
- 8 ounces (226g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) lime zest
Instructions:
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Press firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate.
- In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Gradually add sweetened condensed milk to the cream cheese, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in key lime juice and lime zest until the filling is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Pour the filling into the prepared graham cracker crust. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until set.
- Slice and serve chilled. Garnish with whipped cream and lime slices, if desired.
