Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅛ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean, dry mixing bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and egg yolks together until smooth and well combined. Add any optional seasonings here.
  4. Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites in two additions.
  5. Spoon or pipe mounds of batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Aim for about 6 equal portions.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. A toothpick inserted into the centre should come out clean.
