Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ⅛ teaspoon cream of tartar
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a clean, dry mixing bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and egg yolks together until smooth and well combined. Add any optional seasonings here.
- Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites in two additions.
- Spoon or pipe mounds of batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Aim for about 6 equal portions.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly golden brown. A toothpick inserted into the centre should come out clean.
