Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) fruit juice (e.g., orange, apple or mixed berry)
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) honey or agave syrup (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons (20 g) gelatin powder (for a vegan version, use agar-agar)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (optional for added tang)
- Food coloring (if desired for vibrant hues)
Instructions:
- Lightly grease silicone molds with a neutral oil or leave ungreased for easier removal.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together fruit juice, honey (or agave), and lemon juice.
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over 2 tablespoons of cold water; let it sit for 2-3 minutes until it swells.
- In a saucepan
- Remove from heat, whisk in bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved and smooth.
- If using, mix in a few drops of food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Carefully pour the mixture into prepared molds, filling them about ¾ full.
- Place molds in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the gummies are set.
- Once set, gently pop the gummies out of the molds and enjoy!
