Ingredients:
- 2 shots (2 ounces or 60 ml) of freshly brewed espresso
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of chocolate syrup
- 1 cup (240 ml) of whole milk (or milk of choice)
- Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
- Cocoa powder or chocolate shavings, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Brew 2 shots of espresso and set aside in a large mug.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming (do not boil). If using a milk frother, froth the milk until a creamy texture is achieved.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup into the espresso and mix gently.
- Slowly add the steamed milk to the espresso mixture, pouring over the back of a spoon for a layered effect.
- Top with whipped cream if desired, and sprinkle cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
