- Natural food coloring or cocoa powder for altering color
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, pumpkin puree, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour ¼ cup of batter for each pancake onto the hot griddle and cook for about 2-3 minutes until bubbles form.
- Use squeeze bottles or piping bags filled with syrup and food coloring mixtures to create fun designs on the pancake.
- Flip pancakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Stack pancakes on plates and serve warm.
