Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (2 g)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (2 g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich buns (whole wheat or white)
  • 1 cup (50 g) shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup (120 ml) ranch dressing or mayonnaise
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • Optional: sliced pickles or onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken in the skillet; cook for about 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  3. While chicken is cooking, prepare sandwich buns by lightly toasting if desired. Spread ranch dressing or mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Add a handful of shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato.
  4. Once chicken is cooked, place one chicken breast on each bun. Top with additional toppings such as pickles or onions. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bun.
  5. Serve immediately while warm.
