Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped (approximately 1 cup / 150g)
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) onion powder
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) dried thyme
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (10.75 ounce / 305g) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
- 1 (15 ounce / 425g) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (15 ounce / 425g) can green beans, drained
- 1 (32 ounce / 900g) package frozen tater tots
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, corn, and green beans.
- Pour the soup mixture into the skillet with the ground beef and onion. Stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the beef and vegetable mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the filling is bubbling.
- Let the tater tot hotdish cool for a few minutes before serving.
