Ingredients:
- 4 cups (950 ml) water
- 4 teaspoons (4 bags) black tea or green tea
- 1 cup (about 25 grams) fresh mint leaves, loosely packed
- 2-4 tablespoons (30-60 grams) granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- Ice (optional, for iced version)
- Mint sprigs (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- In a teapot or saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the tea (loose or bags) to the water.
- Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes based on desired strength.
- After steeping, add the fresh mint leaves to the tea.
- Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Strain the tea into a pitcher, removing the mint and tea leaves.
- For hot tea, serve immediately. For iced tea, allow to cool and serve over ice, garnished with mint sprigs.
