Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, finely chopped (about 150g)
  • 1-2 fresh red chili peppers, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (15ml)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (30ml)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (1g)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Chop pineapple into small, bite-sized pieces.
  2. Finely chop red chili peppers, removing seeds for less heat if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pineapple, chili peppers, honey (or agave), lime juice, soy sauce, and ground cumin.
  4. Taste the mixture and season with salt as needed, adjusting sweetness or acidity by adding more honey or lime juice.
  5. Fold in chopped cilantro if using, for added freshness.
  6. Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately or let sit for a few minutes to allow flavors to meld.
