Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, finely chopped (about 150g)
- 1-2 fresh red chili peppers, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (15ml)
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (30ml)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (1g)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Chop pineapple into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Finely chop red chili peppers, removing seeds for less heat if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pineapple, chili peppers, honey (or agave), lime juice, soy sauce, and ground cumin.
- Taste the mixture and season with salt as needed, adjusting sweetness or acidity by adding more honey or lime juice.
- Fold in chopped cilantro if using, for added freshness.
- Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately or let sit for a few minutes to allow flavors to meld.
