Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pecan halves (240g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (60g), melted
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, bourbon, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Add the pecan halves to the mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the pecans are golden brown and fragrant.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet; they will crisp up as they cool.
  8. Once cooled, sprinkle with additional sea salt if desired, and enjoy or store in an airtight container.
