Ingredients:
- 2 cups pecan halves (240g)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (60g), melted
- 2 tablespoons bourbon (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, bourbon, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Add the pecan halves to the mixture and stir to coat evenly.
- Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until the pecans are golden brown and fragrant.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet; they will crisp up as they cool.
- Once cooled, sprinkle with additional sea salt if desired, and enjoy or store in an airtight container.
