Ingredients:
- 4 cups (600g) fresh or frozen mulberries
- 1/4 cup (60ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) sea salt
- 1/3 cup (80ml) pure maple syrup
Instructions:
- Combine the mulberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, and sea salt in a blender. Pulse until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish, ensuring it is spread evenly to a depth of about 1 inch. Place in the freezer for approximately 90 minutes until the edges begin to set.
- Remove the dish and use a fork to vigorously scrape the frozen edges toward the center, breaking up any solid ice sheets.
- Return to the freezer and repeat the scraping process every 30 to 60 minutes for the next 3-4 hours until the mixture consists of coarse, glistening crystals.
