Ingredients:
- 1 large frozen banana, sliced
- 2 Tablespoons creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 Tablespoon strawberry or grape jelly/preserves
- 1 scoop vanilla or unflavoured protein powder (optional)
- 3-4 ice cubes (optional)
- A tiny pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Prepare the blender by ensuring the jug is clean and ready to use.
- Layer the liquids first: pour the milk into the blender jug.
- Add the solids and flavourings: add the frozen banana slices, peanut butter, jelly, protein powder (if using), and the pinch of salt on top of the milk.
- Secure the lid and begin blending on a low setting, gradually increasing the speed to high.
- If the mixture stalls, stop the blender, use a rubber spatula to push the ingredients down towards the blades, and add an extra splash (1-2 Tablespoons) of milk if it is too thick.
- Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth, creamy, and uniform in texture.
- Pour immediately into a tall glass and enjoy this Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie while cold.
