Ingredients:
- 2 pounds (900 g) ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 box (6 oz / 170 g) Stove Top stuffing mix (chicken or turkey flavor)
- 1 cup (240 mL) water
- 2 large eggs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup / 75 g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup (120 mL) ketchup
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon (15 mL) Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine Stove Top stuffing mix and water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to absorb.
- In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef, softened stuffing, eggs, onion, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Using clean hands or a spatula, mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish or loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
